For the 2012 Underwriting Year, Atrium's two managed Syndicates 570 & 609 have combined to become The Atrium Syndicate 609.

  • Aligns the organisation behind a single vision and strategy.
  • Becomes one bigger, more diverse syndicate.
  • Provides larger capacity, more attractive to brokers and clients.
  • Facilitates development of new business opportunities.
  • Has the ability to write larger line sizes.
  • Will benefit from economies of scale and improved efficiencies.
  • Achieves efficiency in meeting the demands of the Solvency II environment.

"At the heart of the merger decision is a belief that the larger and more diverse underwriting unit will be better able to meet the demands of the future market in which it will operate; to meet the challenges of the current market and to capitalise on opportunities in the future."
