Leadership

Prior to joining Atrium on 1^st January 2021, Chris Stooke held a number of non-executive roles in the Lloyd’s and wider insurance sector, including Chairman of both Chaucer Syndicates and broker Miles Smith, and Senior Independent Director of NFU Mutual.

As an executive Chris was Chief Financial Officer of Catlin Group from 2003 to 2009 and, prior to that, worked as a partner at PWC and its predecessor firm Price Waterhouse, specialising in financial services in both London and Zurich.

Kelly has been the Property Business Group Leader at Atrium since November 2025.  She began her career at Atrium in 1996 where her main role was as Property Reinsurance Underwriter.

She is ACII qualified.

David started his career with a P&I Club in 1984.

In 1989 David moved to a Lloyd’s broker where he specialised in the placement of Marine and Energy Liability business.

In 1999 David joined AIG as a Senior Marine Liability Underwriter and was appointed Vice President in 2006 responsible for all Marine Liability business worldwide outside of the USA.

David joined Liberty Syndicates in 2009 as Class Underwriter for Liability and War.

David joined Atrium Syndicate 609 in September 2015 in the position of Marine and Energy Liability Underwriter.

He is a member of the LMA Marine Committee and the LMA Joint Liability Committee.

Wesley started his career in 1999 with Willis before joining Atrium in July 2000 predominantly working on the Casualty Reinsurance account in his early years before working exclusively on the Professional Liability business since 2005. He completed his ACII in 2002.

Since 2023 Wes has appointed as Business Group Leader for Casualty at Atrium.

Outside of work Wes can often be found helping in the community with his involvement in his local football team and motorcycle club.
