Atrium, the specialty insurance group at Lloyd’s, today announces the appointment of Chance Gilliland as Group Head of Strategic Distribution and Maureen Higgins as Deputy Group Head of Strategic Distribution.  The new team will capitalise on growth opportunities from established and emerging sources, leveraging existing connections within the Atrium network and other strategic channels.

The new team will work closely with John Fowle, CEO,  Hayley Maynard, Chief Strategy Officer, and the wider Atrium team. Chance and Maureen will focus on expanding key relationships, supporting product and distribution innovation, including emerging trends in distribution.

Chance joins from Chaucer, where he worked for 6 years, leading the growth of their Global Property Binders account. Prior to that, he worked at Chubb for a decade writing US property binder business in London and the US.  Maureen Higgins joins from RenaissanceRe, where she worked for 17 years across their US property book in London and Bermuda.
